lacrimablues - prog - aphrodites child - end of the world - 1968

Questo album si puo' considerare precursore della musica" progressive "poi esplosa negli anni 70' .Lucas Sideras alla batteria , Demis Roussos al basso , Anargys Kouloris alla chitarra e Vangelis
Papathanassiou alle tastiere , questi quattro nel 1968 conquistarono il mondo con il singolo " rain
and tears " ( cosa tuttora unica per un gruppo greco ) , e' la canzone assieme a " end of the world"
piu' commerciale dell'album ma, le altre tracce furono una sorpresa per la ricerca sonora , grazie
sicuramente all'estro geniale di Vangelis ( in futuro regalera' stupende colonne sonore che tutti
conosciamo ) , anche l'incredibile voce di Demis Roussos raggiunse una perfetta simbiosi con la musica ( si perse poi in una carriera solista banale ) ,un grande album , profumi mediterranei
tastiere in evidenza e poi si" commerciale" ma " rain and tears " resta un classico !!!
Restarono in tre ( senza Anargys K. ) e con l'album " it's five o'clock " ricco di hits ebbero grandi soddisfazioni , poi l'album "666" visionario e anche troppo sperimentale e passato inosservato
mise fine agli "aphrodite's child " .
