lacrimablues - luke winslow - king - the coming tide -2013

Da New Orleans un tuffo nel traditional jazz e pre-warblues , lavoro molto bello , con classe ed eleganza
Winslow chitarrista e autore di talento oltre che educatore musicale , ci ripropone musiche che risalgono
ai primi anni del Novecento , blues old time ,  folk ,tromba , trombone , sax ,  clarino ,chitarra e la voce di Esther
Rose che si unisce a Luke nel canto. Un riflusso musicale che trova un ottimo riscontro non solo dagli
appassionati del genere , anche qui in Italia , Veronica Sbergia con i suoi the Red Wine Serenaders
( Max De Bernardi , Mauro Ferrarese , Alessandra Cecala ) propone questa musica con grandi
soddisfazioni e con un seguito gia allargato in Europa ( cercate i suoi dischi ! )
Tornando a Luke Winslow se vi piace cercate anche " old / new baby " del 2009 !

lacrimablues- jesse " ed " davis - jesse davis -1971

Navigando nei mari dei Bloggers mi sono trovato questo primo disco di Jesse " Edwin " Davis , ( 1944
Oklahoma - 1988 Venice L.A ) , mitico session man che con la sua chitarra ha suonato in dischi di tanti
grandi , per fare qualche nome : George Harrison , Ringo Starr , John Lennon , ( quasi tutti i Beatles )
Bob Dylan , Albert King ,Taj Mahal , Ry Cooder , Willie Nelson ... , la lista sarebbe molto lunga , un
musicista che ha dato il suo talento a tanti altri , al suo attivo pero' come solista solo tre lavori . Questo
il suo primo lavoro , ancora oggi godibilissimo , ( tra i tanti musicisti ospiti anche Eric Clapton ) ,ottima
musica e difficilereperibilita' . Scomparso per overdose nel 1988 ,  una buona occasione  per ricordarlo e riascoltarlo!!!!
